Natalie Smolenski is a business development executive and entrepreneur building Bitcoin-anchored solutions for decentralized, self-sovereign digital identity. She is also Founder and Executive Director of the Texas Bitcoin Foundation, a 501(c)3 focusing on research and education about Bitcoin and related historical and scientific issues. Natalie is a trained anthropologist and historian whose independent research focuses on the intersections of identity, technology, and government. Her work emphasizes the social dimensions of technology--how values are made material through physical and digital infrastructures. Through the Texas Bitcoin Foundation, she brings together scholars of varied political, cultural, and disciplinary backgrounds to elaborate the foundational ideas that will productively steward humanity through current global geopolitical and technological transitions.
