Dr. Paolo Tasca is a professor and economist. He founded several blockchain organizations including the University College London Centre For Blockchain Technologies (UCL), the DEC Institute, Quant Network and recently the DLT Science Foundation (DSF). He advises several companies, including Hedera Hashgraph, INATBA, and he is a member of the TC307 Technical Committee on blockchain at the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), among others. He has also consulted and worked with Fortune 500 companies and organizations like the United Nations, the European Parliament, the Federal Reserve, the European Central Bank, and several other central banks in Italy, Chile, Brazil, Colombia and Canada. He previously served as the lead economist for digital currencies and peer-to-peer financial systems at the German Central Bank (Deutsche Bundesbank).
