Brian Morgenstern is the head of public policy for Riot Platforms, one of the world’s largest publicly traded bitcoin mining enterprises. Brian helps lead the bitcoin industry’s advocacy efforts at the state and federal level regarding energy, environment, financial services, tax, and national security. In 2020 and 2021, Brian served in the Trump Administration as White House deputy press secretary, deputy communications director, and special assistant to the President. From 2017 to 2020, he was senior advisor and deputy assistant secretary of the U.S. Treasury Department. He played an instrumental role in implementing the Tax Cuts & Jobs Act, the CARES Act, and FIRRMA. Prior to the Trump Administration, Brian practiced law in New York City and appeared regularly on Fox News and CNN. He graduated from Georgetown University and Columbia Law School.
