Ever since U.S. Senator Cynthia Lummis updated her Twitter avatar to an image of herself with Bitcoin laser eyes, politicians around the world have been signaling their support for a truly sound, global money by doing the same. The trend seemingly hit overdrive when El Salvador's president, Nayib Bukele, declared that the country would adopt bitcoin as legal tender (adding red lasers to his presidential stare in the process, of course).
